Spiritual Direction Training Track

This 18 month formation program invites participants into a deep inward journey with Jesus while training them in the practice of spiritual direction.

Program Overview

A spiritual director cannot take a directee further than they have gone themselves. For this reason, this program intentionally emphasizes in depth personal formation alongside practice. The first year is primarily focused on personal formation, education and training. While, the second year the emphasis is on practicum and supervision.

One critical way to ensure the participant cultivates a heart of wisdom, one requirement of this track is a 3-week solitude retreat guided by Sam.

Core Monthly Rhythm

Each month, participants will engage in the following:

  • Weekly cohort gathering

  • Weekly prayer projects

  • Monthly meeting with a spiritual director (throughout the entire program)

  • 12 sessions meeting with a licensed therapist

  • Ongoing reading (assigned per movement)

  • Written reflection at the end of each movement

Weekly mentorship/support as needed from Anjuli and Sam

18 month commitment

  • 2 - 48 hour solitary retreats

  • 3 week solitary retreat

  • Meet with directees for training

Financial Investment

The cost of the program is $4,500 ($250 a month)

This includes:

  • Weekly cohort gatherings

  • Teaching and formation guidance

  • Mentorship and supervision

  • Group supervision during practicum

Participants are responsible for (all estimates):

  • Books

  • Therapy

  • Monthly spiritual direction

  • Retreats
